We will develop a four-course menu, and cap the week off with a parent luncheon.
No prior cooking skills required. All equipment, facilities, and food will be provided.
What your child will learn:
- Four-course menu development and preparation
- Food, equipment and knife safety
- Product identification and flavor profiles
- Organization and teamwork
- Formal table setting
- Formal service etiquette
- Course description and introduction during formal service
- Personal satisfaction and fun of cooking and hospitality!
The last day of class, Thursday, is a featured parent luncheon. Kids will prepare, plate and serve two guests (presumably parents) a four-course meal. This has proven to be a valued opportunity for our students to showcase what they’ve learned during Camp.
